Yes. Rain. Fcuk.

Inside The Actor’s Studio. The questionnaire concept was originated by French television personality Bernard Pivot, after the Proust Questionnaire.
1. What is your favorite word? Yes. It gives the most possibilities. We once made 500 or so little pieces of paper with the word “YES” on them and posted them all over arts camp, on trees, music stands, the salad bar. Kids started wearing them, creating their own, writing it in chalk on the sidewalks and in dirt on car windows.

2. What is your least favorite word? Can’t. There are very few things that we can’t do.

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Conversation. Exchange of ideas where one is not trying to convince the other that they are right or wrong is exceptionally energizing.  Expressing passion.

4. What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Ego. Nothing is more tiresome to me than arrogance and fear.

5. What sound or noise do you love? Rain. Rebirth, cleansing, nourishment.

6. What sound or noise do you hate? Garbage trucks.

7. What is your favorite curse word? Fuck. Add it to your favorite sentence, not a lot, just enough. It is the cilantro of words.

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Doctors Without Borders. Using knowledge to improve the human experience is the greatest act of selflessness in my opinion.

9. What profession would you not like to do? Corporate Attorney. Protecting a business against people rapes your soul.

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? ”Wow, damn fine run. Wanna go again?”
