MONTVILLE, Conn. — A 19-year-old woman was stopped on Tuesday in Montville for driving under the influence of marijuana, and there was alcohol in her car, according to state police.
Police stopped a Honda Accord on I-395 after it drove past their cruiser on the right. When the officer talked to the driver, they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car and saw smoke coming out of the open window.
The driver, 19-year-old Emily Campos-Sanchez from Norwich, failed a test to check her balance and admitted she used marijuana before driving. After looking through the car, the police found marijuana and alcohol. She didn’t have a legal driver’s license.

She was accused of driving under the influence, passing another car on the right, driving without a license, and being a child in possession of marijuana and alcohol. She was freed after paying a $1,000 bond and will go to court on February 11.
