Rear View Mirror – My Week In Review

It’s Sunday.  I need to workout.  I need to workout.  I cannot even remember the last time I was at the gym.  I can stack excuses on excuses as to how it has been so long, but the bottom line is I need to workout.  It’s noon, I am still in bed, watching YouTube videos and reruns of McHale’s Navy and Mr. Ed on TV.  It is nice enough outside that I could just go for a nice long walk and start the formal gym visitations on Monday.  I should do that.  But will I?  I need to.  I’ll shower and start.

Artist and photographer Lindsey Wohlman reimagines Andy Warhol’s famous Campbell’s Soup Cans in a Kickstarter funded project entitled, Warhol Soup Cans Naked & Unlabeled. The artist is half-way through the project as Warhol’s original piece featured 32 soup cans.

This week on Waldina, I added Rear Window to the required viewing series. I also celebrated the birthdays of Swifty Lazar, Sarah Vaughan, Leigh Bowery, Gerald Murphy and Steve McQueen.

OakOak is a street artist from Saint-Étienne, France.  The artworks are site-specific, fun and imaginative. Where others see simple cracks in the wall or shadows on the ground, OakOak envisions something different altogether.
