Our dog Scraps was a rescue from a high-kill shelter in San Bernardino, California. Through the selfless dedication of a group of people, he was adopted out of the shelter, transferred to an organization that moves animals around the country, and put into an animal rescue near Seattle. That is when I saw him on PetFinder.com and arranged to bring him home.
We are reminded every day what a super little man we have in our family. I created an instagram account to post pictures of the life he is having because he had a chance to have one. He has 950 followers and growing. He would love to be your friend too: @SenorScraps
This year, we have signed up to do the Furry 5k at the park down the street from our house. It raises money for the Seattle Animal Shelter, which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.
The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.
He would love it if you could donate $5. You can see his team page HERE.
Every little bit helps and most everyone can spare $5 to help save an animal. Saving and animal changes two lives: the one of the animal and the one of the adoptive family.
