While picking up an order from a nearby restaurant, a Texas mother who was a DoorDash delivery driver is accused of hurting one of her kids.
Following an investigation into an October 2024 incident involving her 3-year-old son, the Belton Police Department stated in a press release that Angela Moreno, 24, had been arrested on March 26.
According to reports, Moreno, who was a DoorDash driver at the time, drove to a restaurant to pick up an order to deliver to a customer while bringing her two children, ages one and three.
She allegedly left both of her small sons “unsecured and unattended” in the car as she entered the restaurant, according to the police.

Ten minutes later, she came back, and according to the police, she observed her older son’s head emerge from the car’s sunroof, which had closed on his neck.
On October 10, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., first responders arrived to the scene and discovered the youngster “unconscious and not breathing.”
After performing life-saving treatments on him, paramedics took him to McClane Children’s Hospital. He lived through his wounds.
According to the police, the youngster reportedly “climbed to stick his head out of the moonroof and accidentally shut it on himself with the button on the ceiling of the car” while Moreno was inside the restaurant.

He was unable to open the moonroof door once it closed on his neck, which restricted his airway and made it impossible for him to breathe.
On March 25, Moreno was formally charged with child injury after the police forwarded the case to the Bell County District Attorney’s Office.
On March 27, she secured a $50,000 bond after being arrested and taken to Bell County Jail.
