Authorities say seven individuals were shot after gunfire erupted late Monday night at a popular pub in Oklahoma City’s Midtown District.
Around 11 p.m., officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at The Collective on Northwest 10th Street and Harvey Avenue. When authorities arrived, they discovered multiple gunshot victims.
On Tuesday, authorities told KOCO 5 that nine individuals were hurt in the incident. Seven of those people were shot, and nine were injured by glass fragments.
Four of the gunshot victims were critically hurt, but police say everyone is expected to survive. An early inquiry revealed that a brawl broke out, at which time someone or more persons got out weapons and began shooting. Police stated that at least two shooters were engaged, but no information about the suspects has been revealed.
Authorities are unsure whether the victims were random onlookers or participants in the conflict.
The gunshot took place at an intersection near The Collective’s outside patio. According to a bar and restaurant representative, some customers fled into the bar to seek refuge.
Police are currently hunting for a suspect or suspects and attempting to piece together what occurred.
Anyone with information on the shooting should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
