One of the walls of a Target store in New Jersey was destroyed when a dump truck hit the side of the building Friday afternoon. A big hole was made in the wall.
Police say the crash happened at the Target store on Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen. The road was closed in both ways between 70th Street and 76th Street.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m., and a lot of police and first rescuers from the area came to help.
North Bergen cops said that six people were hurt in the crash, with two of them being seriously hurt. Five of the patients are getting care at hospitals in the area. The fire chief said that one of the people who was hurt the most badly was a woman who was in the store bathroom when the truck crashed through the wall.
Authorities say that the driver of the dump truck was one of the people who were taken to the hospital.
Police said the dump truck went into the lanes going south, hit a tractor-trailer, and then hit the Target. Chopper 4 could see the tractor-trailer nearby. The back of it looked like it was totally destroyed.
The crash’s cause is still being looked into.

It wasn’t clear right away when the store would open again. Target told all other questions to be sent to the police.
