GRANDVIEW, Indiana — Authorities in Indiana say that the body of a missing 22-year-old guy from southern Indiana was found in the Ohio River on Saturday.
A news statement from the Indiana DNR says that Hunter Conner’s body was found in the Ohio River around 5:10 p.m. central time on January 19.
Conner was last seen in the water on January 17 about a mile east of the Grandview Boat Ramp. He is from Newburgh. Evansville is about 37 miles east of Grandview. He was shooting ducks when his kayak flipped over while he was trying to get one back.
It took about two days to look for Conner. The DNR says that the event is still being looked into.
Conservation officers in Indiana strongly advise that people who are going to be doing anything near water wear life jackets.
