Teams were sent out to check on the outage, fix the issues, and quickly return services to the affected areas.
The reason for the failure was not known by late Tuesday.
More than 4,000 Douglas Electric Cooperative users west of Roseburg faced power outages on Tuesday morning. This includes areas served by substations in Camas, Tenmile, Lookingglass, Melrose, and Umpqua.
