Authorities in New Hampshire apprehended two men from Massachusetts for allegedly trafficking fentanyl and cocaine during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 95, according to state police.
Frandy Arias Zapata, 23, and Eduardo Garcia, 24, from Methuen, Massachusetts, have been granted personal recognizance bail and are set to appear for an arraignment on Monday, March 24, at Portsmouth District Court.
On Monday, state police reported the arrest of Zapata and Garcia, who face charges related to the possession of a narcotic drug with the intent to distribute. More charges could be on the horizon.
On Monday, law enforcement officers initiated a traffic stop for excessive speed on I-95 in Portsmouth.
Authorities conducted a search of the vehicle, uncovering around 350 grams of fentanyl, about 75 grams of cocaine, and a firearm that had its serial number altered, according to state police.
