Four weeks prior to her wedding, an Oklahoma bride-to-be was hospitalized after being knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack while on her ideal bachelorette trip in Texas.
At around two in the morning on Sunday, 27-year-old Canada Rinaldi and her six bridesmaids left a club and waited for their Uber as they wrapped up an unforgettable night out in Dallas, according to WFAA.
But a man approached her from behind and gave her a sucker blow to the face as their ride drew closer.
Rinaldi was hit so hard by her assailant that she was knocked unconscious and fell face-first onto the concrete.
“It’s just shocking. It’s hard to believe,” a crying Rinaldi stated. “I feel like a lot of my experiences were taken away from me.”
An Uber driver’s dash cam footage of the assault shows the attacker hitting Rinaldi at random.
Additionally, the video captures the moment one of her bridesmaids attempted to push the man away before the brute hit her as well.
After the assailant left the area, Rinaldi was discovered unconscious in the street, surrounded by police and worried friends.
The bridesmaid who was also hit, Kelly Peralta, said, “It’s just so traumatic.”

On the route to the hospital in the ambulance, the soon-to-be bride claimed to have regained consciousness.
Rinaldi lost three of her teeth and broke her nose in the blindside attack. She also had eight stitches to repair her face after suffering a concussion and black eye.

Kirsten McDowell, another of her bridesmaids who saw the attack, claimed the event marred a trip that was meant to be one of her friend’s happiest times.
Seeing her so hurt and distressed is just awful. McDowell explained, “It was supposed to be one of the best trips of her life, celebrating her, but it just went awry so fast.”
Rinaldi was attacked four weeks before her wedding, and she is currently juggling the cost of her hospital stay, ambulance journey, and dental work in addition to her recuperation from her injuries.
Rinaldi remarked, “I feel like I’m not excited to plan my wedding anymore.”
To assist Rinaldi with the unforeseen medical expenditures of approximately $10,000, her friends have organized a fundraising.

“She is now trying to heal—not only physically, but emotionally and financially—when she should be counting down the days to her wedding,” McDowell stated.
The soon-to-be bride claimed that the incident had an impact on both her and her sisters, who saw her being struck and rendered unconscious.
“I know they’re struggling pretty bad, too,” Rinaldi stated.
The Dallas Police Department stated that while they are looking into the attack, they have not yet identified the offender or made any arrests.
“I think it’s not fair that it happened to me, but if anything, I hope he gets caught so it doesn’t happen to anybody else,” she stated.
