There is a significant risk of flash floods due to the recurrent storms accompanying a slow-moving front, particularly in western Tennessee, Kentucky, and Arkansas.

In certain places, rainfall totals might exceed 5 to 8 inches, with local totals exceeding a foot.

By the end of the weekend and the beginning of next week, it is anticipated that the high-pressure ridges over the Eastern Seaboard that have held the storm systems in place will finally begin to wane.
