FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — FDA says that Walmart is recalling more than 12,000 cartons of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth because of problems with the packing that could cause the food to go bad.
The recall began on December 11 and was made public on January 8 on the FDA website. It covers items sold in 242 stores in nine states: Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
The UPC number for the recalled boxes is 007874206684, and they have a “best used by” date of March 25, 2026. The recall affects a total of 2,023 cases, with six boxes in each case.
Wal-Mart said in a statement, “The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority.” “As soon as we learned about the problem, we took steps to remove all affected products from the affected stores.” We are still working with the provider to look into it.
Consumers who buy tainted goods are told not to eat it. They should throw away the broth and ask Walmart for a full return.
There have been no reports of illnesses linked to the recall.
