DENVER — Two people were stabbed and killed over the weekend in Denver, and a man has been arrested in connection with the crimes, police said Monday.
On Sunday night, someone was stabbed near the busy downtown shopping area 16th Street Mall. The man was arrested, the Denver Police Department said in statements on X. The person who was hurt died after being taken to the hospital.
Later, police said that the person they thought was behind the attack was also thought to be responsible for three stabbings that happened in the same area on Saturday night. Two other people were hurt, and a woman was killed. The suspect’s name was not released right away by the police.
Before the suspect was arrested, police said there didn’t seem to be any link between him and the victims on Saturday, and they didn’t know why he did what he did.
Not long before Sunday’s stabbing, police put out a video picture of a suspect dressed in black and asked the public to help them find that person.
