OCALA, Florida — A Florida Highway Patrol officer shot and killed a suspect during a fight at a hospital in central Florida on Friday, according to officials.
The conflict took place in the emergency room at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in Ocala, Florida, as stated by the hospital. The Ocala Police Department said that the suspect who was not named died when the trooper used lethal force.
No police officers or hospital workers were hurt. The highway patrol asked the Florida station of Law Enforcement to look into the shooting, according to the police station.
