There seems to be a lot of lore around the compilation. A guy from San Francisco named Vince B. Made a 12 DC-R mixed tape of punk bands fronted by female vocalists from 1977 to 1989. He only made a few and gave them out to friends. I found the downloads and fell in love with them, so I shared. Overall, this has been one of my most popular posts of all time.
