A teenager in South Carolina has been charged with murder just a few days after a guy was shot and killed, according to the police in Columbia.
Nicholas Jackson, a 19-year-old from Hartsville, has been charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to police on Saturday night.
The charges are related to a killing on January 22, in which a 27-year-old man was killed, according to the police. The shooting happened outside of a home in the 100 block of Doctors Circle, police said, near SC 277 and Prisma Health Richland hospital.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not revealed the name of the victim.
No other injuries were recorded.
The police believe that stealing could be the reason for the crime. It’s unclear if Jackson and the victim were familiar with each other.
Jackson was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on January 24, according to jail records. The jail records show that no fee was set for the teenager.

Jackson is set to appear in court again on March 28, according to reports from Richland County.
Even though a teen has been arrested, police are still looking into the killing. They are following up on clues and trying to find others who were involved.
