Adorable Mama Dog Left Waiting as Potential Adopters Pass Her By

Joy is a sweet deaf dog who has had a hard life. The dog felt lost when her owners left her at a shelter that was too crowded while she was heavily pregnant.

She didn’t know why she was lied to when she needed love and care the most.

Joy gave birth to eight kids and loved them very much. She hoped they would find loving homes where they would never be given up.

All of her kids were adopted, which was her wish come true. The reason Joy moved to the Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary in Kansas was because she thought she would also find love there.

Happy Joy

The people who work and help at the sanctuary loved Joy and thought she was so cute. Their walks with her made them happy and made them smile all the time.

Joy’s human friends were sure that she would soon win someone over. She was perfect in every way for people who want to adopt a dog.

Joy quickly got used to life at the shelter and began to dream of meeting her forever family thanks to the wonderful staff who showed her so much love.

At first, she had hope that things would get better tomorrow.

But as time went on and she kept being forgotten, Joy’s hope began to fade.

Joy has been in and out of a number of foster homes over the past few years.

Joy really likes people, but she is very picky about her four-legged friends. She would rather be with big dogs like herself than small ones.

The dog doesn’t give up.

Joy learned to use sign language to say important words and sentences like “I love you,” “good girl,” “sit,” “no,” “leave it,” “peanut butter,” “walk,” “drink,” and “eat.”

The puppy was such a good girl, but unfortunately, no one wanted to meet her.

Joy started to wonder why no one had picked her as they saw her dog friends leave the shelter with their owners.

Joy’s friends at the sanctuary soothe her by telling her that her true family will soon come.

She has been asking why she hasn’t been chosen yet. It said in a Facebook post, “We keep telling her she’s the best girl in the world, and they always save the best for last.”

Joy keeps waiting for her family because she is sure that one day they will pick her up and never let go.

I hope that the sweet dog will soon get the best news she’s been waiting for a long time.
