The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials were the targets of terrorist threats made by a Texas man who was recently detained.
A statement from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Dallas said that Robert King had made “alarming” posts on social media.
For example, one commenter stated that he would “open fire” if agents were spotted in his neighborhood.
Some of the purported messages stated that ICE officials are not “real cops” and have “no real authority.” Others featured remarks against Noem.
King was seen in handcuffs alongside other federal officers in the city of McKinney in a photo posted by HSI Dallas on Wednesday.
“As Secretary Noem stated: If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. Promises made, promises kept,” After the arrest, a top Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official stated.

The arrest comes after a Tren De Aragua (TdA) gang investigation in Texas resulted in the arrest of over 40 individuals.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the FBI, ICE, and a number of other federal, state, and local partners investigated members and associates thought to be affiliated with the Venezuelan transnational gang for a year.
In collaboration with the FBI, ICE, HSI, and Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO), the Hays County Sheriff’s Office and DPS secured a search warrant for a Hays County residence early on Tuesday morning.
The DPS Special Response Team then carried out the search.
According to HSI San Antonio, narcotics were found and over 40 individuals, including children, were arrested at or close to the residence.
According to an ICE official, 47 undocumented aliens were detained.
According to the spokesperson, of those 47 individuals, nine were adult women without children, four were adult mothers, nine were non-citizen children, and 25 were adult men.
For processing, they were all brought to the Austin Resident Office.
“Everyone whom ICE arrested was found to be illegally present in the U.S. and taken into ICE custody pending immigration proceedings,” as per the spokesperson.
On February 20, the State Department classified TdA as a foreign terrorist organization.
According to reports, the gang’s thousands of members are carrying out hostile acts against the United States in several states.
