A guy from North Carolina is accused of abducting and killing his 6-year-old daughter before making an unsuccessful effort to end his own life.
According to a statement, a worried mother called the Polkton Police Department at approximately three in the morning on March 24 to report a domestic dispute between her daughter, Mianna Roach, and the girl’s father, Michael Roach.
According to the PPD, the mother told officers that her 6-year-old child’s father had entered her bed in the middle of the night, threatened her with a gun, and then driven off with the child in the mother’s car.
Later, authorities stated that “there was no legal documentation establishing custody” at the time, which prevented them from issuing an Amber Alert.
When the police failed to find Roach, they issued a BOLO alert for the father and the stolen car.
Police say a deputy recognized the car five hours later and tried to pull Roach over.
According to police, Roach allegedly tried to escape the deputy but ultimately lost control of the car and collided into a ditch.

Mianna “deceased from a gunshot wound,” according to the PPD, while Roach had “a self-inflicted gunshot wound” when the deputy found them.
However, Roach survived the suicide attempt and is currently in critical condition at the hospital, according to the police.

Less than a week before she passed away, Mianna was shown grinning on her birthday in the photo that was uploaded to that website. In the picture, her father is directly behind her.
“I am trying to raise money to bury my beautiful 6 year old baby girl,” her mother states. “Whom left this world to early by the hands of the father she loved her whole little life.”
