Deadly Love Triangle Husband Crashes Into Car Carrying Wife and Another Man, Police Report

Just after midnight on a recent Sunday, Isaac Albert Perez reportedly confronted his wife about having an extramarital affair at a San Bernardino park, where she and another man were parked, according to San Bernardino police.

However, the argument became deadly shortly after when she and the other man drove away. Perez is said to have followed them, crashed into their car, and sent it into a flood control channel, according to the police.

When the cops got there, they found that Perez’s wife and the man she was with had died. Police did not say if the guy in the car was dating the wife, but they mentioned that Perez confronted both of them about the supposed affair.

Perez, 31, is now charged with two counts of murder related to the crash, according to court documents.

The police received reports of the crash at 12:08 p.m. on January 26, according to a press statement. However, the cops soon found that the crash might have been caused by a crime.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office has named the dead as Asia Guercy and Charles Dark.

During their investigation, police found Perez confronted the two about the alleged extramarital affair at Perris Hill Park, said Sgt. Christopher Gray.

On Tuesday, January 28, Perez pleaded not guilty, according to court records.

Court records show that Guercy requested a restraining order against Perez in May 2021 because of domestic abuse.

Guercy’s sister, Maliya, said that her sister was trying to leave her husband when the argument happened. In an email, Maliya Guercy stated that her sister faced both emotional and physical abuse during her marriage.

Maliya Guercy said, “Her absence is a great loss for our family and everyone who knew her.” “Even with her difficulties, she always stood out.”

Maliya Guercy created a GoFundMe page for Asia, stating that she is a mother of three and has been married for 11 years.

“Asia had a kind heart and a strong belief in God, and she often went to church in San Bernardino.”

The page aimed to collect money for her funeral and to support her children.
