Des Moines Woman, 26, Identified as Victim in Polk County Fatal Crash

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that the woman who died in a crash on Highway 141 outside of Grimes on Sunday morning was 26-year-old Kayla Breanne Frommelt.

Polk County police found Frommelt’s car in the west ditch, where it had hit a tree. They said that Frommelt, who was the only person in the car, was dead at the scene.

On Monday afternoon, the police identified Frommelt, who lived in Des Moines.

Based on what we know so far, Frommelt was driving south when he lost control of the car. The crash is being looked into by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9 a.m., deputies were sent to the 12100 block of Highway 141 for a call. The highway was closed while the police looked into it, the news statement said.
