According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, present and former members of an outlaw motorcycle gang have been charged with violent crimes in the Houston area.
14 Bandidos members and allies have been charged by the U.S. attorney’s office with racketeering conspiracy and violent crimes like murder, attempted murder, and assault.
The Bandidos are called a “outlaw” motorcycle gang in the charge. They have between 1,500 and 2,000 members in the U.S. and up to 1,500 more members in other countries, such as Mexico, the office said.
The office says that in 2019, there was a deadly turf war in the Houston area between the Bandidos and the rival outlaw motorcycle gang BEAST.
As reported by the U.S. attorney’s office, Bandidos national leadership reportedly told members to attack BEAST and even kill him.
The office says that John M. Pfeffer, 32; Darvi Hinojosa, 35; Bradley Rickenbacker, 37; Michael H. Dunphy, 57; Christopher Sanchez, 40; and Brandon K. Hantz, 33 are all charged with racketeering plot.
David Vargas, 33, is charged with murder in aid of racketeering, attempted murder, and gun crimes connected to a shooting that killed someone, the office said. The office also said that if he is found guilty, he will get either life in prison or the death punishment.
According to the U.S. attorney’s office, Pfeffer, Rickenbacker, Marky Baker, 40; Ronnie McCabe, 56; Jeremy Cox, 37; Roy Gomez, 50; and Marcel Lett, 56 are all charged with assault and robbery that killed a rival and could spend the rest of their lives in jail.
The office said that Hinojosa and John Sblendorio, 54, are being charged with shooting someone, planning to kill someone, trying to kill someone, and drug dealing.
The office said that if they are found guilty, both could get life terms.
