Four Years After Fatal Hit-and-Run, Family of Trevor Swahn Calls for Justice

A family from Placer County is asking for information and an arrest years after a young man was killed while crossing the street in Rocklin.

On Tuesday, it will be four years since Trevor Swahn, 30, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sierra College Boulevard. As of now, the driver who is responsible has not been arrested.

Pam Swahn, Trevor’s mother, stated through tears, “I really wish he could be here to watch Riley grow up. I really miss him.”

Riley, who is Trevor’s niece and is now six years old, still asks about him all the time. The Swahn family was devastated by the death of their beloved uncle, brother, and son. It is a wound that will never heal because the family is left without any closure.

Pam recalls that her son was a compassionate person who enjoyed music and George Carlin, had a talent for gardening, and really appreciated the world around him.

“Trevor had a great sense of humor. He would give me wonderful hugs. He told me he loved me and I loved him very much. He had the most beautiful blue eyes,” Pam stated.

The Rocklin police are still investigating the case, and there is a $30,000 prize for any information that leads to an arrest.

Pam remarked, “You know, it’s been four years, so I’m not sure if we’ll ever get an answer.”

Trevor was declared deceased at the site that night. Pam is confused at how the car who hit Trevor was able to turn around to witness what happened and then leave without providing any assistance.

The family is seeking closure and justice for Trevor.

“Someone needs to step up and take responsibility.” Pam stated, “Alternatively, if someone has knowledge of the situation, they could come forward and inform the Rocklin Police Department of what occurred and who was involved.”
