In Wisconsin, a Person Died From Injuries Sustained in a Crash, Even Though Efforts Were Made to Save Them

NORWAY, Wisconsin – A person in Wisconsin died from injuries caused by a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

The Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department (KFRD) was asked by the Norway Fire Department to assist at a crash site at the corner of Appleroad and North Beaumont Avenue in the Town of Norway.

KFRD Units sent several staff members and a paramedic unit to the location, while others prepared an area for a possible Flight for Life transport. Rescue teams secured one car, got the driver out, and started giving CPR right away.

The person was taken to the landing area to meet the Flight for Life team, who worked with the other responders to try to save their lives. Sadly, the person died from their injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle refused medical care or to be taken to a hospital. The Racine County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the accident.
