Intoxicated Virginia Man Mistakenly Breaks Into Bible Study, Believing It to Be Human Trafficking Operation

It was an arrest of epic proportions.

An intoxicated Virginia man who broke into a Bible study session took it upon himself to investigate, thinking it was a human trafficking operation, police said.

David Campbell from Stafford has been charged with breaking and entering, attack, and being publicly drunk, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s office.

Campbell was drunk when he called the police on Wednesday evening because he was angry that his neighbors had put their cars too close together. Instead of talking to property management, Campbell approached the neighbors at their home and noticed a big group of people, according to the authorities.

“The sheriff’s office said he thought this was a human trafficking operation and wanted deputies to look into it.” “When the incident was reported, the dispatchers heard the caller insulting and swearing at the neighbors.”

When the cops arrived, they saw 48-year-old Campbell in the middle of the road, showing signs of being drunk, according to officials.

He complained about the parking and asked the deputies to name everyone in the house.

Neighbors told the cops that Campbell pushed his way into the house while the group was talking about the gospel.

“He almost hit a minister and threatened to punch another man.” “The sheriff’s office stated that video evidence would support this.”

Campbell was in the Rappahannock Regional Jail and was not allowed to post bail.
