On Tuesday morning, Marcus Jordan, who is 34 years old and the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested in Maitland, Florida.
He was charged with a misdemeanor drug offense following a stressful situation involving his vehicle.
According to authorities, police officers spotted Jordan’s Lamborghini sports utility vehicle trapped on railroad rails only minutes before a commuter train was supposed to pass through the region.
The car got stuck because its tires were buried deep in dirt and rocks from being whirled around repeatedly. When the officers arrived, the train was just about ten minutes distant.
After discovering the vehicle in a dangerous position, the authorities found out that Jordan had recently run away from a traffic stop in a nearby county.
The authorities noticed indications of impairment, and the scenario swiftly escalated from there.
Jordan seemed disoriented and was speaking in a slurred manner, which led the officers to urge him to get out of the car.

When they did this, they found a small bag of cocaine in his jeans. Later, the bag was analyzed and it was confirmed to contain cocaine.
Jordan was charged with possession of cocaine, which is a second-degree misdemeanor, as well as resisting an officer without violence, which is also a misdemeanor.
The arrest occurred after Jordan had allegedly attempted to escape from law authorities earlier that day, which resulted in the scenario on the railroad tracks.
Even though the event was not violent, he was charged with resisting arrest because he refused to cooperate with the authorities.
Marcus Jordan, who used to play basketball at the University of Central Florida, was arrested under dangerous circumstances.
His arrest made the news rapidly, not only because of his link to the famous NBA great but also because of the unsafe circumstances surrounding the case.
The fact that the car was stalled on the railroad lines just minutes before the commuter train passed prompted worries about safety, as a collision could have had disastrous consequences.
Fortunately, the matter was settled before anything bad happened.
