Secretary Kristi Noem of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spent Tuesday morning pursuing illegal immigration criminals in the Phoenix region alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Arizona law enforcement officers.
In a video that was uploaded on X, Noem stated that she was heading out with ICE to pick up a person who was accused of human trafficking while holding a gun. She added that she caught a murder suspect when she went out earlier with agents.
“I appreciate the work that they do every day, and we appreciate them working to keep America safe,” Noem stated.
Noem also posted pictures of herself wearing a Kevlar vest while sitting in an ICE car and posing with law enforcement.
She also posted images of police officers detaining two males, one of whom was barefoot and the other wearing Crocs.
“Arizona is safer this morning after a successful operation getting criminal illegal aliens and gang members off our streets,” Noem stated. “Thank you to our brave law enforcement officers. If you are in this country illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back.”
Since being appointed by President Donald Trump, Noem has been actively involved in her work as the secretary of DHS.
She just visited the Terrorism Confinement Center in El Salvador, where hundreds of criminal migrants were deported last month.
When Noem visited the facility, she got the opportunity to speak with suspected Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members in person.
They were all shaven-headed and dressed in white prison outfits.
Additionally, she issued a message from the prison to any illegal immigrants who are now in the United States or intend to visit in the near future.
Standing with her back to the prisoners, she declared, “First of all, do not come to our country illegally: You will be removed, and you will be prosecuted. But know that this facility is one of the tools in our toolkit that we will use if you commit crimes against the American people.”
“President Trump and I have a clear message to criminal illegal aliens: LEAVE NOW,” Noem wrote after sharing the video on X. We’ll find you, arrest you, and you might wind up in this prison in El Salvador if you don’t leave.”
Under the direction of Noem and border czar Tom Homan, Trump’s administration has been detaining and deporting criminal illegal migrants nationwide as part of its hard-line stance on immigration, which was a major campaign pledge.
