Northern California Police Seize 14 Pounds of Fentanyl and Heroin in Traffic Stop Bust

A car stop in Northern California resulted in authorities finding and seizing several pounds of fentanyl and heroin.

On January 31, the Modesto Police stopped a car for several supposed traffic violations. A police dog signaled an officer that there were drugs in the car during the stop, according to the MPD. A later search of the car found two pounds of heroin and 14 pills.Jose Tafolla-Gutierrez, a 49-year-old from Modesto, was arrested and taken to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for suspected drug trafficking and sale.
