People in Baldwin County Are Being Warned About Calls That Claim to Be From Jurors

AL BALDWIN COUNTY — Baldwin County police warn people to be alert for calls from people who want to steal your money. People were warned about the “jury duty” scam by the police in Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Robertsdale this past week.

Someone on the calls first says they are from the district attorney’s office or the police and that someone has missed jury service and will be arrested. The caller then asks for cryptocurrency or gift cards as payment.

Police want to warn you that this is a scam and that this is not how the government works. People say that if you get one of these calls, you should hang up and call the police in your area.
