Pine Bluff police make arrest in a tragic shooting on Sunday morning

Pine Bluff, Ark – The Pine Bluff Police Department stated that a kid suspected in a fatal Sunday morning shooting has been detained.

Police say 19-year-old Lamarion White was detained after being recognized as the shooter who killed 21-year-old Courtaurius Williams.

He was apprehended without incident by several cops at a local home around 6 p.m.

Investigators say officers responded to complaints of gunfire shortly after 3 a.m. in the 3300 block of West 2nd Avenue, near West End Pool Hall.

According to investigators, when officers arrived, they found Williams lifeless with gunshot wounds laying in the roadway next to a vehicle. He was later pronounced dead on the spot.

White has been detained into the W.C. Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center and charged with capital murder.
