According to police, a 21-year-old Venezuelan lady who was “outgoing” and “loved to have fun” with her friends and their children was discovered dead in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
Her body was stuffed beneath a futon in a neighborhood of Philadelphia and was wrapped in a sheet and shower curtain.
Acquaintances and former coworkers characterized the victim—who authorities have not publicly named—as a young Venezuelan lady who had only been in the country for a year.
Her corpse was discovered early on Saturday at approximately 12:39 a.m. inside an apartment in the 4400 block of Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood.
According to the police, she was stabbed several times in her neck and torso.
“It’s very scary,” neighbor Shirese Robinson stated. “Like something straight out of a movie, like something you wouldn’t hear close to home.”
A number of friends who wished to remain nameless discussed the victim and her personality. They were unable to come up with anyone who might wish to harm her.
“She was outgoing, funny. She loved to have fun,” one man stated. “No negative vibes, all good positive energy. She loved doing TikToks with my kids.”
She arrived from Venezuela and was welcomed “like a daughter” by her father and mother-in-law, according to the friend and former coworker. She was always friendly and welcoming, he said.
The man clarified that she was his wife’s “best friend” in town and that she never needed anything. The man remarked, “We always made sure she was cool.”
According to reports, when police located the victim, they couldn’t uncover any weapons or evidence that would have allowed them to make an arrest.
The woman’s last known appearance and contact date was April 2, according to police, and she was reported missing after acquaintances were unable to get in touch with her, officials told.
As of Monday morning, police were still investigating the homicide and looking for the murderer.
“Hopefully whoever did it, put them away,” the victim’s friend and former co-worker stated. “Let them suffer because at the end of the day the didn’t care about her.”
