Over 90 counties in Tennessee had to close their schools on January 10 because of several inches of snow. On Monday, January 13, some schools will stay closed or have delays because the roads are still icy.
Early on Sunday, the National Weather Service said that some roads would have black ice and fog in the early morning hours.
Fog and black ice can make driving dangerous, especially on bridges and overpasses. People who are driving on roads where snow may have melted and then frozen over should still be careful.
These school areas will be closed or running behind on Monday, January 13.

Time and place of school delays in East Tennessee:
Morning Academy of Knoxville: On Monday, January 13, there will be a one-hour delay. Anorr Academy’s Facebook post says that means the doors will open at 8:40 a.m. and class will start at 9 a.m.
Knoxville Catholic High School is going to be two hours late.
All sites of Roane State Community College will not open until 10 a.m. local time on Monday, January 13.
Seymour Community Christian School: On Monday, January 13, there will be an hour of delay.
Tate’s School will be an hour late tomorrow, January 13.
Tomorrow, January 13, at 8 a.m., there will be a 2-hour delay at the Wee Care Learning Center.
