Wyoming and Nebraska Flags to Fly at Full Staff on Inauguration Day

Cheyenne, Wyoming — Both the U.S. and Wyoming flags have been raised to full staff in honor of President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, January 20. This was ordered by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.

From dawn until dusk on January 20, 2025, the order covers the state government and all other state buildings. In honor of President Jimmy Carter, flags will fly at half-staff again from sunrise on January 21, 2025, to sunset on January 28, 2025.

“It is right for our country to celebrate the inauguration of a new president and fly our flags high to honor it. On January 21, we should do the same to honor the life and legacy of President Carter.” “Both of these actions show that we respect and honor how important these times are,” Governor Gordon said.

A similar order was also made by Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen.

“The official installation of a President is a historic day in the calendar of our nation and should be recognized as such,” said Pillen. “Having the flag at full staff symbolizes the respect to that office and our nation’s newly elected leader.”
